Yard Person

We are currently seeking a Yard Person, on a casual basis, to work as part of our project team at RAAF Base Darwin.

About the Role

This position will support the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the Wet Mix Plant at RAAF Base Darwin by ensuring all incoming, stored and prepared materials meet the required quality controls and specifications for the project. The position is also responsible for undertaking general yard, material handling, housekeeping and other site support tasks required to maintain the effective day-to-day functioning of the Wet Mix Plant and project site.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the daily inspection on aggregates and chemicals has been completed.
• Take charge of the refilling of the silo's aggregates and chemicals, including water.
• Daily batch facility prestart completed and notify management of any issues.
• Loader operation as required, and in the absence of the regular loader operator.
• Other responsibilities as required on site, within the scope of your position.

What We Are Looking For

• Current and valid NT Drivers Licence
• Must be able to obtain a Defence Common Access Card (DCAC) to work on the project
• Front-end loader experience is required
• High-risk work licence (forklift) is preferred
• Ability to work both days and nights as shifts may vary based on the operational requirements of the project
