Workshop Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a fully qualified Workshop Electrician to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced electrician who enjoys workshop-based electrical work, fault finding and the electrical assembly and testing of the equipment we manufacture.

You will work as part of a professional team, ensuring all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, wiring, assembly and fit-out work within the workshop.

• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.

• Test, inspect and commission electrical equipment and systems.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, legislation and safety requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of testing, repairs and completed work.

• Work closely with other trades and workshop personnel to complete projects efficiently.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

• Identify potential electrical and safety issues and report them promptly.

About you

• Current Australian electrical licence / unrestricted electrical licence.

• Demonstrated experience working as a qualified electrician.

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

• Sound knowledge of electrical safety requirements and Australian Standards.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
