Senior IP Network Design Engineer

Efiniti Telecommunications Services is an Australian-owned telecommunications and ICT professional services company delivering end-to-end network and ICT solutions across carrier, corporate, government, and technology vendor sectors.

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in Macquarie Park, NSW, supporting key delivery programs for one of Australia's largest telecommunications customers.

Location: Macquarie Park 2113 NSW
Contract Term: 12 months Contract + Extension

This role offers hybrid work arrangements with a base location at Macquarie Park.

About the role:

You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of network services and customer orders, including design input, provisioning, configuration, testing, migration, integration, troubleshooting, and handover.

You will work closely with internal teams, project managers, and customer stakeholders to ensure services are delivered accurately, safely, and on time.

Key responsibilities:

· Support end-to-end delivery of network services and customer orders

· Perform network provisioning, configuration, testing, migration, and integration

· Assist with routing and switching design activities

· Troubleshoot service and provisioning issues across multi-vendor environments

· Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders

· Maintain delivery documentation, trackers, and project records

· Communicate effectively with customers, partners, and internal teams to keep delivery on track

Skills and experience:

· 5 -6 Experience in network engineering, telecommunications, or ICT service delivery

· Knowledge of network provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting

· Understanding of routers, switches, CPE, and network infrastructure

· Exposure to carrier Ethernet, routing, switching, and VPN services

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced delivery environments

· Degree in IT, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field is desirable

Desirable technical exposure:

· Juniper, Cisco, Alcatel, and Huawei platforms

· OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, Segment Routing

· BGP / BGP-LU

· L2VPN / L3VPN / VRF services

· VLAN and QoS configuration

· Legacy SDH and IP voice knowledge is advantageous
