About the role
Based at our Yatala office and reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role has a strong downstream focus, supporting the formation, administration and close-out of subcontract and supply agreements across CE Group’s project portfolio.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, finance and operational teams to ensure subcontractors are properly engaged, contractual obligations are clearly established and commercial performance is actively managed throughout delivery.

The role will also provide broader post-award support across head-contract obligations, claims, variations, payments, notices and project close-out. It is not primarily focused on estimating, tendering or preconstruction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare subcontract and supply agreements, scopes of work, pricing schedules and supporting contract documentation.
• Ensure relevant head-contract obligations, risks and compliance requirements are appropriately flowed down to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate subcontractor approvals, execution, insurances, licences, securities and other pre-commencement requirements.
• Administer subcontractor performance, including progress claims, variations, extension of time requests, directions, breaches and contractual correspondence.
• Prepare practical completion certificates, deeds of release, final accounts and retention or security releases.
• Maintain accurate registers and records while supporting project reporting, commercial risk management and contract close-out.

About you

• Demonstrated contracts administration experience within a construction, engineering, industrial or project delivery environment.
• Strong practical experience forming and administering downstream subcontracts and managing subcontractor performance.
• Experience assessing progress claims, variations and extension of time requests and preparing contractual notices.
• The ability to interpret head contracts and translate relevant obligations into downstream agreements and practical delivery requirements.
• Strong commercial writing, stakeholder-management, organisation and document-control skills.
• A relevant qualification or experience across electrical, infrastructure, energy, resources, industrial or manufacturing projects will be highly regarded.
