About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for our Resource Development project at Rio Tinto’s Brockman 4 mine.
The role involves operating 36-tonne excavators across steep and challenging terrain to support drill-pad construction, access preparation, drainage and rehabilitation works.

Key requirements:

• Proven excavator experience in steep terrain.
• Experience operating CAT 336 or similar excavators.
• Competent in drill-pad construction, battering, benching, drainage and final trimming.
• Current RIIMPO301E excavator competency.
• Strong understanding of safe machine positioning and slope limitations.
• GPS/machine-control experience preferred.
• Current driver’s licence and White Card.
• Ability to pass a medical and drug/alcohol screen.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work independently in remote areas.
