Pro Shop & Bar Attendant

Maleny Golf Club is looking for a customer service superstar to join our Pro Shop and Bar team on a casual basis. Set in the heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, our club is entering an exciting new chapter with the opening of our brand-new clubhouse and we want someone who shares our passion for making every member and visitor feel welcome.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll be the go-to person for members and visitors in our Pro Shop and Bar helping with tee time bookings, retail sales, and serving drinks and light refreshments in a beautifully presented, newly built clubhouse. No two shifts are the same, and you'll play a genuine role in bringing our club's hospitality to life.

Key responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet members and visitors warmly, assist with tee time bookings, and offer helpful product recommendations.

• Sales & Transactions: Operate the point-of-sale system (Senpos), handle cash and card payments, and assist with daily reconciliations.

• Bar Service: Prepare and serve drinks and light refreshments at the bar, maintaining responsible service of alcohol standards at all times.

• Retail & Presentation: Maintain stock levels, restock shelves, and ensure merchandise and displays are presented attractively.

• Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to email enquiries, and relay messages to the relevant staff.

• Venue Presentation: Keep the shop and bar areas clean, organised, and always welcoming.

• Administration: Support inventory counts, member registrations, and basic reporting tasks.

ABOUT YOU

• A genuine customer service superstar - friendly, approachable, and always ready to go the extra mile.

• Confident using computers, with experience in POS systems (Senpos) or golf booking systems (MiClub) considered a strong bonus.

• A natural eye for store and venue presentation. You take pride in a well-stocked, well-presented space.

• An interest in golf, hospitality, or sports retail is a bonus, but not essential.

• Reliable, punctual, and available for flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends and some evenings.

• Previous experience in retail, hospitality or bar service is preferred but not essential.

• Current RSA (or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of starting).

• A driver's licence and reliable transport are recommended, as public transport to the club is limited.
