About the role

This is a full-time position working across a variety of roofing projects throughout Tasmania. The role involves assisting roofers with various roofing works, including re-roofs, new roofs, repairs and general roofing activities. You will be working outdoors and at heights as part of a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting roofers with re-roofs, new roofs, repairs and general roofing works

• Removing existing roofing, flashings and materials

• Carrying and preparing roofing materials

• Assisting with installation of roof sheeting, battens, insulation and flashings

• Using hand and power tools

• Loading and unloading vehicles and materials

• Keeping worksites clean, organised and safe

• Following WHS procedures and directions from supervisors

• Working at heights and on ladders/scaffolding where required

About you

• Reliable and punctual

• Strong work ethic

• Physically fit and capable of manual work

• Comfortable working outdoors and at heights

• Able to follow instructions and work safely

• Able to work well within a small team

• White Card required or willingness to obtain one

• Driver's licence preferred

• Roofing or construction experience is an advantage, but not essential
