Retail Buyer

Brookies Rural Traders is growing — and we’re looking for an experienced Retail Buyer to grow with us.

As our Retail Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting our stores and strengthening supplier relationships. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, influence decisions and grow your career as the business continues to expand.

Working closely with our leadership team, you’ll develop and managing product ranges that meet the needs of our customers while delivering strong commercial outcomes.

Your role will include:

• Managing stock levels and product ranges across key retail categories

• Identifying new products, brands and opportunities to grow sales

• Managing purchasing, stock levels, margins and inventory performance

• Monitoring market trends and customer needs

• Analysing sales data and using insights to make smart buying decisions

• Working collaboratively with our store and management teams to maximise range performance

• Contributing ideas and initiatives that support the continued growth of Brookies Rural Traders

We’re looking for an experienced Buyer who knows retail and knows how to get results.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Proven experience working as a Retail Buyer

• Strong commercial and negotiation skills

• A solid understanding of retail buying, ranging, pricing, margins and inventory

• Confidence building and managing supplier relationships

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

• Excellent organisation and attention to detail

• A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to identify opportunities

• The ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of your responsibilities

• A genuine interest in being part of a growing business

Experience in rural retail, hardware, agriculture or a related retail environment will be highly regarded.
