DENTAL PRACTICE MANAGER

Bendigo Children’s Dentistry is looking for an experienced, motivated and people-focused Practice Manager to join our team.

We are a private paediatric dental practice committed to providing high-quality dental care in a welcoming, supportive and child-focused environment.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day running of the practice, lead our team and work closely with the Principal Paediatric Dentist to help our practice continue to grow and thrive.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the people, operations, systems, patient experience and business performance of the practice.

Your days will be varied and will include:

• Leading, supporting and developing our practice team

• Managing day-to-day practice operations

• Coordinating staffing, rosters and leave

• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and performance management

• Maintaining a positive and accountable workplace culture

• Monitoring practice finances, debtors and expenses

• Supporting efficient appointment book management

• Managing suppliers, contractors and practice resources

• Ensuring practice policies and procedures are implemented

• Supporting workplace health and safety and compliance

• Responding to patient and family concerns

• Improving the patient journey and customer experience

• Supporting marketing and practice development

• Identifying opportunities to improve systems and efficiency

• Working closely with the Principal Paediatric Dentist on the strategic direction of the practice

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• An experienced practice manager, healthcare manager or business manager

• A confident and supportive people leader

• Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities

• Professional, approachable and emotionally intelligent

• Comfortable having difficult conversations when required

• Commercially aware and confident with financial management

• A strong communicator

• Proactive and solutions-focused

• Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture

• Passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience

• Comfortable working in a busy healthcare environment

• Committed to maintaining a positive workplace culture

Dental Experience

Previous experience in dental practice management and/or dental assisting is highly desirable, although we will consider candidates with strong management experience in other healthcare or professional environments.

Experience with dental practice software, private health insurance, dental billing, recalls and the day-to-day operation of a dental practice will be highly regarded.

Experience working with children or in a paediatric healthcare environment is also desirable.
