About Ballarat Day Procedure Centre
Ballarat Day Procedure Centre (BDPC) comprises three operating theatres and 17-day oncology chairs, offering a broad range of surgical services. Specialties include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, IVF, Plastics, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, ENT, General Surgery and Dental.
We support more than 10,000 patients each year across Ballarat, the Central Highlands and Greater Western Victoria.
BDPC is entering a period of strategic growth and development. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing team where your contribution will directly support patient care outcomes.
The opportunity
We are seeking an organised and proactive Stores Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis (54 hrs per fortnight). This role is responsible for managing stock and supplies across the facility, ensuring clinical and non-clinical supplies are maintained at optimal levels to support the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.
Key responsibilities
· Receiving and distributing deliveries throughout the facility
· Maintaining stock levels and inventory records
· Assisting with stocktakes and inventory accuracy
· Monitoring supply levels and escalating shortages as required
· Maintaining records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices
· Supporting safe and efficient supply management processes
· Working collaboratively with staff, VMOs and external suppliers
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Previous experience in a stores, supply, inventory, or customer service role
· Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office
· The ability to work independently and as part of a team
· A proactive and flexible approach to work
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities
