Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with referral partners, community organizations, and funding bodies, and expanding service reach within the disability support sector. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and meeting potential partners, preparing proposals, attending networking events, and collaborating with internal teams to align service offerings with market needs. The Business Development Manager will analyze market trends, track performance metrics, and contribute to strategic planning to support sustainable growth. The role also involves representing Sunnyday Carers professionally, promoting the organization’s values, and ensuring that business activities align with regulatory and ethical standards in disability support.
QualificationsDemonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within health, community services, or disability support.Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage referral partners, community groups, and corporate clients.Proficiency in market analysis, pipeline management, and reporting to support data-informed decision-making.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.Solid organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Understanding of the disability sector, person-centered support, and relevant regulatory frameworks is highly regarded.Comfort with basic digital tools, CRM systems, and productivity software to manage contacts and track activities.Ability to work collaboratively with service delivery teams and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.Relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing, health, community services, or a related field is preferred.Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practice and alignment with Sunnyday Carers’ values of respect and empowerment.
