Own the day-to-day trading, merchandising and email performance of Johnson Fitness Australia's direct-to-consumer stores — from product listings and stock messaging through to campaigns, conversion and revenue.
You'll work hands-on across Shopify, Klaviyo and CRM with real input into the trading decisions and campaigns that move the needle for two online stores.Melbourne-based | Full-time, permanent
About the OpportunityJohnson Fitness Australia and Synca Wellness sell directly to consumers online, and this role sits at the centre of that trade. You'll own the daily rhythm of the business — tracking sales pace against target, keeping listings accurate, and running the email programme that keeps customers engaged from first click through to purchase.
It's a genuinely varied role. One day you're adjusting pricing and stock messaging ahead of a promotion; the next you're building a Klaviyo flow, digging into data to understand a conversion dip, or working through a backorder query with a customer directly. For someone early in their eCommerce career, it's a chance to build real, hands-on experience across trading, digital marketing and customer experience inside a global brand's local operation — rather than specialising narrowly in one channel.
What You'll Own
● Daily online trading across the Johnson Fitness Australia and Synca stores, tracking sales pace against monthly targets and forecasts● Convert customers from initial contact to purchase – Email, Phone, Showroom and Abandoned Carts● Product listings on Shopify — pricing, descriptions, imagery, stock and inventory accuracy● On-site merchandising, promotions and collections that drive conversion● Email marketing in Klaviyo — campaigns, automations, segmentation and A/B testingWhat You'll Be Doing● Monitoring daily trading performance and flagging pace issues early● Maintaining listings, pricing and stock or pre-order/backorder messaging across channels● Building and refining Klaviyo campaigns and automated flows● Supporting paid media, EDM and promotional planning alongside the digital team through Google and Meta.● Handling customer enquiries end-to-end — showroom, phone, email and abandoned carts● Supporting new product launches, competitor analysis and pricing reviews● Opportunity to assist Ecommerce Team in direct to consumer site in NZ as part of 2026 growth plan.What Success Looks Like● Sales pace tracked closely against target and exceeding targets, with issues spotted and raised early● A clean, accurate, well-merchandised store that converts● Email campaigns and automations that grow engagement and revenue● Customers moved smoothly from enquiry through to purchase maintaining gross margin targets.● Growing confidence managing trading, digital marketing and customer experience together
What You'll Bring
Essential● 1–3 years' experience in eCommerce, digital marketing or online sales● Hands-on experience with Shopify● Comfortable working with sales data and Excel● Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach to hitting targets● Excellent communication and organisational skills
Highly regarded● Working knowledge of Klaviyo, Google Analytics (GA4), Meta and Canva● Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent practical experience – not essential but preferred.● Interest in fitness, health or consumer retail
