About the role
Get Lean is a growing Australian medical weight management service dedicated to helping people achieve sustainable, long-term health outcomes through evidence-based care.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and engaging Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) to join our multidisciplinary team as an independent contractor. This is a flexible opportunity for a dietitian who enjoys working in a digital health environment and is passionate about educating and supporting people through their weight loss journey.
This role offers a combination of telehealth consultations, nutrition resource development and educational content creation, allowing you to have a meaningful impact on both individual members and the broader Get Lean community.
As our consulting Accredited Practising Dietitian, you will work closely with our medical team to provide evidence-based nutrition support to Get Lean members.
Your role will include:
Conducting telehealth nutrition consultations with referred members.
Providing practical, personalised nutrition advice to support sustainable lifestyle change.
Developing nutrition resources, meal plans and educational materials for our member portal.
Recording short educational videos covering nutrition, healthy habits and weight management topics.
Contributing evidence-based nutrition content for social media, blogs and newsletters.
Assisting with the development and review of nutrition resources across the Get Lean platform.
Participating in webinars, online Q&A sessions or other member education initiatives where appropriate.
Collaborating with our clinical team to ensure members receive high-quality, holistic care.
We're looking for someone who is approachable, evidence-based and passionate about improving people's health through practical nutrition advice.
You will have:
Current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia.
Current Professional Indemnity Insurance.
An ABN and the ability to work as an independent contractor.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence delivering consultations via telehealth.
Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills.
A supportive, non-judgemental approach to patient care.
The ability to communicate complex nutrition concepts in a simple, engaging way.
Experience in the following areas would be highly regarded:
Weight management
Behaviour change
Women's health
Metabolic health
Chronic disease management
Emotional eating
Digital health or telehealth
Private practice
Experience creating educational content, presenting webinars or appearing on camera is desirable, although not essential. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about helping educate and inspire our members.
