Retail Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock, sales, purchasing, marketing, budgeting and staff while ensuring high standards of customer service and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate product ranges, stock levels and customer service standards.

• Develop and implement purchasing, pricing and marketing strategies.

• Promote the establishment’s products and services through effective advertising and promotional activities.

• Assist customers with product selection, provide product information and drive sales.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock movements and financial transactions.

• Prepare and manage budgets while monitoring revenue, expenses and overall financial performance.

• Recruit, train, supervise and manage retail staff to maintain efficient operations.

• Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with workplace policies and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and relevant regulations.

• Maintain a high standard of store presentation, customer service and operational efficiency.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.

• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.

• Sound knowledge of stock control, purchasing, sales and budgeting.

• Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

• A proactive approach to achieving sales and business objectives.

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
