Brief Job Description
Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operation of Edge Hill Bowls Club Kitchen. Responsible for supervision of all kitchen staff, food safety, hygiene and kitchen food and labour cost targets.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Menu costing and wastage recording.
• Kitchen rostering, hiring and staff supervision.
• Stock control, stock rotation, accurately ordering from approved suppliers while maintaining par stock levels, receiving & checking deliveries accurately, processing invoices to XERO.
• Ensure all food licencing and food safety standards are met.
• A commitment to achieving sales targets, food cost 30% and labour cost targets of 35%, without compromising quality or standards.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, develop, support, and mentor the team.
• Produce quality consistent meals with excellent presentation and attention to detail.
• Constructing weekly specials with new or existing culinary creations.
• Communicate in a positive way with all floor, kitchen staff and customers.
• Fine tune and document kitchen processes, follow recipes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least three years of relevant experience
• A Diploma of Hospitality Management is advantageous
• Food safety certificate.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to manage one’s own time and the time of others.
• Ability to motivate, develop and direct people as they work and identify best people for the job.
• Ability to monitor or assess the performance of yourself, other individuals, or organisation to make improvements or take corrective action.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
