About the role
Our Story
StateCover's purpose is to keep people safe, well and working. A SIRA licensed specialised insurer, we deliver workers compensation insurance solutions exclusively for local Government in NSW.
As a Mutual, we work differently. We're trusted partners to our Members (insured local councils), collaborating closely to protect their workforce and minimise the impact of workplace injuries.
The opportunity
The Return to Work Specialist plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive return to work services to NSW local government clients, focusing on enhancing organisational capability and improving performance outcomes for injured workers. The RTW Specialist delivers services which are strategically targeted to improve our Members’ workplace risk profile, their capability and achieve enhanced RTW outcomes. You will monitor Member performance to understand key gaps and offer thoughtful and actionable recommendations.
If you are skilled at building rapport and stakeholder relationships, are a confident communicator and presenter, excited by the idea of providing expert advisory services to Members on best practice RTW strategies and enjoy in person visits to meet Members, please get in touch.
This role is required to be based in one of our office locations. The locations available are Sydney, Ballina, or Wagga Wagga.
About you
You will have an allied health qualification or extensive experience with injury management and return to work, demonstrated by a solid understanding of the applicable NSW workers compensation legislation and associated regulations. An excellent communicator with proven presentation and facilitation skills, you can effectively tailor your communication to suit different audiences. As you will be servicing our Member councils throughout NSW, a current drivers licence and the ability to travel is essential.
Why us?
When you join us, you'll have access to training and development opportunities, a wide range of benefits, reward and recognition programs, plus a competitive salary package. We also offer hybrid working arrangements and a chance to work with an inclusive, supportive team where you are set up to succeed.
Sounds interesting?
Get in touch today! We do require applicants to have permanent work rights in Australia and we will of course treat your application with the strictest confidence. We have a genuine commitment to an inclusive and diverse workplace and welcome applications from all those who feel they meet the needs of the role.
Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Background screening including reference checks and a police check will be required.
If you need assistance or accommodations to enable fair participation in our recruitment process, we invite you to contact ******@statecover.net.au for a private discussion. For details on how we manage your information, please see our Recruitment Notification and Consent Statement.
