Disability Support Worker- In home Support

We are seeking reliable, compassionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to provide in-home support for our children, who have complex disabilities, including autism.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, nurturing and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs. The role involves working with children who have different communication needs, including a child who is non-verbal.

About the role

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children with autism, particularly children with higher support needs.

• Is patient, compassionate and calm, with the ability to respond positively to challenging behaviours.

• Is confident supporting a non-verbal child and understands the importance of communication, routine, emotional regulation and consistency.

• Is mature, dependable and brings good life experience, with a calm and nurturing approach.

• Can work confidently and independently within a family home while becoming a trusted member of our support team.

• Is reliable and consistent, and genuinely committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children with disabilities.

• Is willing to assist with reasonable domestic tasks as part of the support role, including helping maintain a safe, clean and organised home environment.

• Has flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including some mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, depending on the needs of the family.
