LGBTQIA+ Disability Support Workers – Sydney CBD, NSW (Expression of Interest)

Chosen Family is seeking passionate and experienced LGBTQIA+ Disability Support Workers to join our dynamic team in Sydney CBD, NSW. This is a casual role, providing flexible work arrangements to support our diverse client base.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing personalised care and support to LGBTQIA+ clients with a range of disabilities
• Assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement
• Advocating for the rights and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities
• Collaborating with allied health professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans
• Fostering a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for our clients
• Participating in regular training and professional development opportunities

What we’re looking for:

• Demonstrated experience in providing disability support services, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ inclusion and affirmation
• Strong understanding of the unique challenges and barriers faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
• Passion for advocating for the rights and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ individuals with disabilities
• Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• First Aid Certificate
• Valid Drivers License
• Reliable Vehicle
• LGBTQIA+ awareness
