Estimate differently. See the projects you price come to life under the same roof.Prebuilt is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing commercial team at our 9,000m² manufacturing facility in Kilsyth.
This is an opportunity to work across a diverse pipeline of permanent modular construction projects throughout Victoria and New South Wales, collaborating closely with our design, projects, construction and leadership teams.
Unlike traditional construction, our integrated approach means you'll have direct visibility across design, estimating, manufacturing and delivery – and you'll be able to see the projects you price being built right here in our facility.

With continued growth across VIC and NSW, we're looking for an experienced Estimator who wants to play an important role in the next stage of our growth.
The OpportunityAs an Estimator at Prebuilt, you'll be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates across a range of construction projects.
Working closely with our Bid, Design and Project teams, you'll assess project requirements, develop detailed pricing and provide the commercial insight required to support successful project outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Review and interpret architectural and construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor packages
Complete quantity take-offs and develop accurate project cost plans
Obtain, review and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations
Work closely with our Bid Manager to develop competitive and commercially sound tender submissions
Collaborate with designers, project managers, engineers and construction teams to validate scope and pricing
Identify project risks, exclusions, opportunities and potential cost impacts
Attend site inspections and tender briefings where required
Prepare and present estimates, budgets and recommendations to management
Assist with tender clarifications and contract negotiations
Maintain and improve historical cost data and estimating information
Support project teams with cost-related queries and handover following successful tenders
Monitor market conditions, construction methodologies and material costs to continually improve estimating accuracy
We're looking for someone who understands construction, enjoys getting into the detail and can balance accuracy, commercial thinking and deadlines.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Previous estimating experience within commercial construction or a related sector
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and construction documentation
Experience preparing detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs
Good knowledge of construction materials, trades, subcontractor packages and methodologies
Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify project risks and opportunities
Experience obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Confidence working across multiple tenders and competing deadlines
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
Relevant construction, quantity surveying or estimating qualifications would be highly regarded
Experience within modular, prefabricated, commercial building, education or government projects would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
