Troocoo Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Registered Midwife for a long-term agency placement within the Women's Health Unit at Mackay. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a midwife with strong women's health, labour ward and birth suite experience to join a busy Hospital. 

 The Opportunity

• Position: Registered Midwife
• Grade: Grade 5
• Location: Mackay
• Unit: Women's Health Unit
• Placement: 1 position available
• Contract: 14 September 2026 – 10 January 2027
• Roster: As per roster
• Shifts: Rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts

Essential Experience To be considered for this placement, candidates must have:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in women's health nursing/midwifery
• Labour Ward and Birth Suite experience – essential
• Current Registered Midwife registration with AHPRA
• Ability to work rotating shifts as required

 Desirable Experience The following experience will be highly regarded:

• Knowledge and proficiency using ieMR
• Previous experience working within Australian healthcare
• Previous Queensland Health experience
• Previous experience within Mackay HHS
