About the role
EzyMart Distribution Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned wholesale business that has been operating since 2015. The company has an experienced operations team with more than 20 years of combined experience in the distribution and supply of convenience products.
We are seeking an experienced and technically capable Telecommunications Engineer to plan, configure, implement and maintain the telecommunications, network and communications infrastructure supporting the company's business and distribution operations. The position will work closely with technology vendors, equipment manufacturers and service providers to ensure reliable connectivity, system integration, performance and ongoing reliability of the company's technology environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning, designing, configuring and maintaining telecommunications, network and communications infrastructure supporting the company's business and distribution operations.
Assessing network and communications requirements for new systems, equipment and technology projects and determining appropriate infrastructure solutions.
Participating in the planning, configuration, testing and commissioning of network and communications requirements for new automated distribution and conveyor systems.
Analysing technical requirements for the implementation and integration of business systems, including MYOB and Evexso, with existing network and operational systems.
Coordinating with equipment manufacturers, technology vendors and service providers to establish technical specifications, connectivity requirements, system interfaces and configuration requirements.
Determining appropriate hardware, software and network configurations to achieve required connectivity, compatibility, performance and reliability.
Evaluating proposed telecommunications and network equipment, services and technical solutions based on technical suitability, compatibility, performance, operational requirements and cost.
Conducting functional, connectivity, integration and performance testing of newly implemented telecommunications and network systems.
Identifying and analysing network connectivity, communication, system integration and performance issues and coordinating appropriate corrective actions with vendors and service providers.
Verifying interoperability between systems and equipment supplied by different vendors and coordinating configuration changes and testing to maintain reliable communications.
Monitoring the performance, reliability and capacity of network and communications infrastructure and identifying requirements for maintenance, upgrades and enhancements.
Assessing network and system performance and contributing to short- and long-term infrastructure planning, including capacity requirements, upgrades and improvements.
Preparing and maintaining technical specifications, network and system documentation, configuration records, testing results and integration requirements.
Relevant qualification in Telecommunications Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
At least one year of relevant experience in telecommunications, network infrastructure, communications systems or a related engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of telecommunications, network connectivity, system integration and communications infrastructure.
Experience in configuring, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting network and communications systems.
Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively with technology vendors, equipment manufacturers and external service providers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple technical projects and operational requirements effectively.
Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
