About The Role

We’re looking for a Head of Technology to lead the delivery of business outcomes through technology, while owning and evolving critical platforms that support Sportsbet’s strategic priorities. As a senior technology leader, you’ll lead leaders across engineering, delivery, operations and design, driving high-performing teams that build, maintain and scale technology solutions for millions of customer interactions. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping technology strategy, influencing commercial outcomes, championing innovation, and embedding AI-driven capabilities across both software delivery practices and customer-facing platforms.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead and develop high-performing technology teams, fostering an inclusive, engaged and outcome-focused culture.
• Drive the delivery of strategic technology initiatives, balancing platform health, operational excellence and business priorities.
• Partner with senior commercial stakeholders to align roadmaps, objectives and value delivery outcomes.
• Oversee platform performance, reliability, security and cost optimisation, ensuring services meet the demands of a 24/7 digital environment.
• Define and execute technology strategy, architecture and roadmap plans, including the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities and modern engineering practices.

About You

You’re an experienced technology leader who thrives on building great teams and delivering meaningful business outcomes. You combine strong commercial acumen with deep technical expertise and know how to influence at all levels of an organisation. You’re customer-focused, data-driven and passionate about continuous improvement, with the ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with practical execution. You embrace change, challenge the status quo, and inspire those around you to innovate, collaborate and deliver exceptional results. Most importantly, you bring energy, curiosity and a genuine passion for helping teams succeed.

What you will bring:

• Significant experience leading large-scale technology platforms, digital products and engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
• Proven success leading cross-functional teams of 30+ people through delivery, operational support and transformational change initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of modern engineering and delivery practices, including Agile, DevOps and Lean methodologies.
• Experience managing large-scale, always-on production platforms, with a focus on reliability, performance, security and optimisation.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including their application within software delivery practices and customer-facing products and platforms.
