Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in your career and move into a leadership position within General Practice?
DNA Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Treatment Room Team Leader to join a busy and well-established Medical Centre based in Maroubra, NSW.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse or Registered Nurse who enjoys remaining hands-on clinically, while also taking on additional responsibility for the day-to-day running of the treatment room and supporting the wider Nursing team.
Previous leadership experience would be highly regarded; however, we are also keen to speak with Senior Practice Nurses who are keen and ready to take that next step into a leadership position.
The Role
Working closely with the Practice Manager and wider clinical team, you will take responsibility for supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the treatment room while continuing to provide high-quality, hands-on patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting the day-to-day operation of the treatment room
Vaccinations and immunisations
Wound care and wound management
Health assessments
ECGs and pathology collection
Patient triage
Assisting GPs with procedures and treatments
Supporting rostering, recruitment and staff performance
Coaching, mentoring and supporting the Nursing team
Ensuring clinical procedures and SOPs are consistently followed
Maintaining a safe, organised and well-equipped treatment room
Working collaboratively with GPs, Nurses and the wider clinic team
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Experience within General Practice, Primary Healthcare
Strong clinical skills and confidence working within a busy treatment room
Previous leadership experience or the confidence and ability to step into a leadership position
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and decision-making abilities
A supportive and collaborative approach to leadership
The ability to work independently and use your initiative
Unrestricted Australian working rights
