About the Role
AFPG is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our leadership team at an exciting point in the evolution of the business.
Reporting to the Deputy CEO, you will oversee the Group’s Compliance and Paraplanning functions, with the opportunity to influence how these teams operate, collaborate and support the wider business.
This is a broad and highly visible leadership role for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, people-focused approach. You will work across teams, locations and functions to strengthen quality, improve processes and help shape the way AFPG operates into the future.

Key Responsibilities
As Group Head, you will oversee three key functions:
Key Responsibilities
Paraplanning
You will oversee the Group’s paraplanning function, responsible for producing high-quality, compliant advice documents.
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing the timely and efficient production of compliant advice documents.
• Maintaining high standards of technical accuracy, quality and consistency.
• Providing leadership to a paraplanning team of approximately 15 people across Sydney, Manila and Cebu.
• Supporting workflow, capacity planning, people management and quality control.
• Maintaining oversight of a team currently producing approximately 170 advice documents per month.
• Providing technical guidance on complex advice matters.
• Maintaining oversight of the Group’s approved product list.
Identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and consistency, including the use of AI and technology.
Compliance
You will oversee the Group’s compliance function and ensure AFPG continues to meet its legislative, regulatory and governance obligations.
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing the Group’s compliance framework across financial advice, accounting, consumer lending and funds management.
• Leading and supporting a compliance team across Sydney and Manila.
• Ensuring policies, procedures and compliance frameworks remain current, practical and effective.
• Supporting the business to identify, manage and reduce compliance risk.
• Providing practical guidance to senior leaders and business units on compliance obligations and regulatory change.
• Promoting a strong compliance culture across the business.
Leadership
This is a senior role within AFPG, with responsibility for leading multiple teams across different locations and business functions.
You will work closely with the Deputy CEO, senior executives and business leaders to strengthen quality, compliance, efficiency and commercial outcomes across the Group.
About You
You will be a senior financial services professional with strong compliance, technical advice and leadership experience.
You will bring:
• Extensive knowledge of the financial services compliance framework, including relevant legislation and regulatory obligations.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial advice, advice documentation and advice compliance.
• Significant people management and leadership experience.
• Experience leading multi-location or multi-function teams.
• Strong understanding of paraplanning, advice production and quality assurance processes.
• Experience within financial advice, funds management, accounting, lending or broader financial services.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A practical, commercial and solutions-focused approach.
• The ability to lead change, improve processes and drive operational efficiency.
• Experience with technology, workflow improvement or AI-enabled efficiency initiatives would be highly regarded.
