HR Driver - Casual rate $42.50 p/hour flat rate

ABOUT US:

We are a family owned busy wholesale plant distribution business, supplying one of Australia's largest retailers, as well as numerous independent nurseries across NSW and the ACT

We are currently seeking to employ a HR licenced truck Driver. Importantly and not negotiable, the successful candidate must be prepared to overnight away from home regularly with accommodation and meal expenses paid. Please confirm your availability to overnight away from home in your application.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our Drivers transport stock from our main distribution facility in Kenthurst to various regional areas throughout NSW and the ACT. Their day also involves collaboration with our customers in store to create beautiful displays of our fantastic range of plant stock. Don't worry if you have no experience with in-store display as we provide all the training that you need.

Our operating days are Monday to Friday, but because of the distances travelled, our regional runs usually require overtime to complete. Occasionally we might have to schedule a Saturday shift, but that is rare, so your weekends are free to enjoy.

Initially we are offering Casual positions paying an attractive flat rate which rewards your willingness to overnight away from home and to unpack in store. If you enjoy the role and are interested in a permanent position, we'll be happy to discuss that with you at the appropriate time.

WE NEED YOU TO:

• Possess a valid Heavy Vehicle HR licence. Twelve months driving experience is preferable. If you don't have twelve months but you have a good clean driving record then let's talk.

• Be physically capable – loading/unloading of trolleys and potted plants is required

• Be flexible with working hours. The runs requiring an overnight stay are usually early starts and full days requiring overtime. If you are not an early bird, this job is not for you. The seasonal nature of our industry means that we need people who can work longer hours during our very busy spring/summer peak season.

• Have good knowledge of Heavy Vehicle Fatigue Management and logbook rules and regulations. This is a must.

• Be open to learning plant names and varieties of our stock. This will help you to do your job more easily.

• Be reliable, able to prioritize work and have a mature professional outlook

• Possess excellent communication skills as you are the face of the business
