Refrigeration Mechanic

About the role
Setpoint Air & Mech Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems. This is a full-time position located in Melbourne CBD and surrounds. 

We pay well above the industry standard. We are also open to employing sub-contractors, so please apply if you are a sub-contractor & are interested.

Job Description: 

• Maintenance, service, installations and repair work of commercial refrigeration. 

• Installation of compressors, evaporators, condensing units as well as other vital components found in refrigeration systems. 

• Exposure to Air Conditioning maintenance at times

• Work on both service jobs and projects.

• Potential for dual trade for right candidate (Electrical Apprenticeship)

Requirements:

• Formal qualification in Refrigeration Mechanics

• Permanent working rights in Australia is preferred. 

• a holder of an ARC Refrigerant Handling License. 

• Current Victorian Driver's probationary or full license

• Construction Induction Card (White Card)

• Energy Safe D- License 

• Working With Children's Check    

Ideal applicant will be: 

• Proactive, self-motivated with a professional attitude.

• Be able to work with a team or independently as required. (we have a strong apprentice base so team work is highly valued)

• Well organized and tidy.  

• Have strong attention to detail

• Possess excellent customer service and communication skills. 

What we offer :

• Full-time position (40hours per week)

• Direct to double time for overtime hours

• Company vehicle, including fuel card and Linkt E-Tag or vehicle allowance for right candidate

• Monthly phone allowance or phone provided

• Training and support as required. (in-house engineers to assist with)

• A reasonable amount of overtime is to be expected for extra earnings.
