About the role
Role Description The HR Support Officer role is a part-time, entry-level position based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site work with some work from home. In this role, the HR Support Officer will assist with day-to-day human resources activities, including maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment processes, and helping prepare and update job descriptions. The role involves providing guidance on basic HR policies, assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding, and supporting the coordination of training and development activities. The HR Support Officer will also help respond to routine employee queries, support employee relations documentation, and ensure HR data is accurate and up to date in HR systems. Collaboration with HR colleagues and operational teams is expected to help deliver consistent and compliant HR support across the organization.QualificationsFoundational knowledge in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with an interest in developing practical HR skills.Ability to understand and apply HR Policies and procedures in line with local regulations and organizational standards.Skills in Employee Relations, including assisting with documentation and supporting fair and professional interactions.Capability in Job Description Development, including drafting and updating role profiles in collaboration with managers.Strong attention to detail, organization, and data entry accuracy, especially when working with HR systems and employee records.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., MS Office or equivalent) and willingness to learn HR information systems.Relevant tertiary qualification or current study in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline is highly regarded.Eligibility to work in Australia and availability to work in a hybrid pattern from Sydney, NSW.
