Angar operates a specialised recycling and resource recovery facility in Keilor East, supported by strategically located depots across Victoria.

About the role

We are currently seeking a Yard Hand to join our team and assist with the day-to-day operations of our yard. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, practical and enjoys working in a busy yard environment. The successful applicant will be required to assist with general yard duties, equipment handling, loading and unloading, housekeeping and operating machinery as required.

Key responsibilities

• General yard labouring and maintenance

• Loading and unloading equipment, materials and vehicles

• Operating an excavator and other machinery as required

• Driving HR vehicles between sites, depots and locations as required

• Use of hand and power tools

• Moving and organising equipment and materials around the yard

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised yard

• Assisting trades and operational crews with daily requirements

• General manual handling and heavy lifting

• Conducting basic checks and reporting any equipment or safety issues

About you

• Current HR Licence – essential

• Current Excavator Ticket – essential

• Current Forklift Licence – highly regarded

• Previous experience working in a yard, construction, civil, industrial or similar environment

• Experience operating an excavator and/or other mobile plant

• Good understanding of workplace health and safety

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

• A positive attitude and willingness to get involved

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable transport
