Our patient base is stable, local, and loyal — the diary in a quiet week looks

remarkably like the diary in a busy one. If you’ve spent years riding the peaks and troughs of

a metro practice, the flatness of this is the thing you’ll notice first.

The patients are the kind you usually have to move to Roma to find. Bribie Island is a

community. Patients know each other. They know us. They turn up on time, they take the

treatment plan seriously, they refer their neighbours, and they say thank you — often, and

they mean it. You’ll get the gratitude, the continuity and the trust that people usually

associate with a country practice, without the isolation, the four-hour drive to a specialist, or

the “sorry, the lab courier comes Thursday” problem.

And you’re still in Brisbane. Roughly 35–55 minutes from North Lakes, Redcliffe, Kallangur

and the northern suburbs. An easy, mostly-counter-flow run — you drive away from the

traffic in the morning, not into it. You can live where your life already is. No relocation. No

selling the house. No explaining to your partner why they’re moving to a town with one

Plenty of our team commute. But some people take one look at Bribie and decide the commute is the wrong solution to the problem.

It’s the only Queensland island you can drive to. Woorim on the ocean side gives you a genuine surf beach and one of the few legal beach-driving stretches this close to Brisbane — permit, tyres down, and you’re on the sand. The Bribie Island Recreation Area has camping right on the beach and along the passage at spots like Poverty Creek, Gallagher’s Point and Lighthouse Reach. If your idea of a good Friday afternoon is loading the 4WD and being set up on the sand by five, you can do that after work. Not after a three-hour drive. After work.

On the western side, Pumicestone Passage is flat, protected water — fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddleboarding, boat ramps everywhere, dolphins and dugongs if you’re paying attention. Pacific Harbour is a proper championship links course if you play golf. And housing here still costs a fraction of what the equivalent lifestyle costs on the Sunshine Coast or in the bayside suburbs.

Schools, shops, medical, cafés — all here. It’s a real town, not a holiday strip. And when you do want the city, it’s still under an hour.

by practising dentists, not a corporate group. Decisions get made in the practice, by people

who are in the practice. Clinical autonomy is genuine: you decide the treatment, you decide

What we’re looking for

AHPRA registration (general or new-graduate — both are genuinely welcome)

Someone who wants to build long-term relationships with patients rather than churn

through them

Full-time or part-time — we’ll talk about days that work

An interest in growing into implants, ortho, endo or cosmetic work is a bonus, not a

requirement
