About opportunity

Under the leadership and guidance of the Supervising Scientist in Biochemistry, you will be bringing your technical skills and expertise to efficiently operate a range of automated analysers and software. This is full-time position of 38 hours per week.

Applications should possess the following:

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant laboratory or scientific field or equivalent with subjects in Clinical Biochemistry advantageous

• Chemistry pathology laboratory experience working in the Australian pathology industry preferred

• Experience with Chemistry and Immunoassay analysers within a high volume automated track environment. LCMS experience would be highly advantageous.  

• Ability to demonstrate sound organisation skills, and work well under pressure

• Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills

• Appropriate working rights to work in Australia

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Adhering to company and quality policies and procedures.

• Ability to prioritise and organise workflow efficiently and safely.

• Maintaining and utilising analysers and equipment, including quality control and troubleshooting

• Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Exhibit high level of interpersonal skill and have the ability to work within a team environment.

• Availability to work on a rotating 24/7 roster which includes overnights, weekends and public holidays is a requirement of this role.
