Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, safety-focused Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator to join our team. This role is structured for an early-career tradesperson looking to consolidate their trade skills and work on diverse, practical projects in a supportive team environment.

Working alongside our experienced Tradespeople, Leading Hands and Supervisors, you will perform fabrication, assembly, repair, and maintenance across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, repair, and maintain structural components and machinery.

• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.

• Execute precise cutting, shaping, bending, and heat-treating of metal products.

• Perform welding and thermal cutting techniques, including Stick, MIG, TIG, oxy cutting, and air arc gouging.

• Inspect and clean welds to ensure compliance with Australian Standards.

• Safely operate hand tools, machinery, and welding equipment.

• Complete daily job sheets, workshop upkeep, and safety reporting.

Position Requirements

• Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication (or recognised trade equivalent).

• Licence: Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

• Core Competencies: Practical understanding of standard fabrication methods, tools, and drawing interpretation.

• Safety & Attitude: Strong safety focus, reliable work ethic, and a team-first mindset.
