Sales Assistant

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Estimator to join our growing construction team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career in construction estimating, working alongside experienced estimators and project managers across a variety of exciting projects.

You’ll play an important role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates, coordinating pricing and supplier information, and helping ensure projects are properly costed from tender through to delivery.

Working closely with our Estimators and Project Management team, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of construction estimates and tenders

• Reviewing plans, specifications and project documentation

• Preparing quantities and take-offs from drawings

• Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations

• Assisting with material and labour pricing

• Entering and maintaining estimating data and pricing schedules

• Preparing tender submissions and supporting documentation

• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams

• Following up outstanding quotations and pricing

• Maintaining accurate records and estimating documentation

• Supporting the Estimating team with general administration and project requirements

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and keen to develop a career within the construction industry.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a sales environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good numerical and analytical skills

• Strong computer skills and confidence learning new software

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
