Production Workers & Packers

We are on the hunt for additional Production Workers and Packers to join our team. These production assembly line-based and packing roles require quality focus and attention to detail to produce and pack the premium quality sweet and savory food products that Helen’s is known for.

About the role:

We are looking for reliable and motivated team members to join our food manufacturing operation, preparing and packing high quality sweet and savory food for our large client base. Working as part of a production team, you will be involved in product assembly, preparation, packing and maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and presentation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in their work and can work efficiently in a production environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble high-quality food products to required specifications

• Follow production procedures and work instructions accurately

• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently

• Ensure chilled and frozen products are maintained within the required temperature range throughout packing and storage

• Check that packed products are appropriately sealed, labelled and stored appropriately

• Conduct and record regular product and cold room temperature checks in accordance with food safety requirements

• Maintain correct stock rotation

• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements

• Complete packing and production records, checklist and quality checks accurately

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe production area

• Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production targets

About you:

• Have an eye for detail, thoroughness and accuracy, including when required to undertake routine and repetitive tasks

• Take genuine pride in delivering high-quality work and possess an exceptional work ethic

• Adaptable and open-minded, with a positive, can-do attitude and genuine team focus

• Physically fit and capable of lifting 15-20kgs

• Experience within a food production environment will be highly regarded but not essential

• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices, food safety, HACCP and GMP will be advantageous
