Medical Receptionist

ACT Neurology Centre and Canberra Specialists are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic experienced Medical Receptionist to join their supportive team.

Only applicants with previous Medical Reception experience will be considered for this role.

This role is available for an immediate start, either permanent part time (4 days per week) or full time hours, between Monday - Friday.

We are a busy private multi-disciplinary practice with our group consisting of Neurologists, Neurosurgeon, Rheumatologist, Geriatrician, Nephrologist, Infectious Disease and Rehabilitation Specialists and collection of Allied Health providers: Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech Pathologists.

We pride ourselves on our comprehensive approach to patient care and management, utilizing evidence-based practice and clinical knowledge to deliver the best patient care. We provide specialist services in ACT and surrounding Regional NSW areas including the South Coast. We endeavour to prioritise that our clinical and administrative staff ensure patients are treated with respect and compassion.

Responsibilities:

• Front desk administration (answering phones, making appointments, processing claims and payments)

• Liaise with patients and their families, other Specialists and Allied health professionals and their staff in a compassionate manner

• Scanning and updating all patient-related correspondence and results

• All general reception, administrative and medical support duties as required

• Provide ongoing support to Specialist doctors and allied health professionals as required

• Be a friendly point of contact between patients and the internal clinical team

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Essential Requirements -

• Medical Reception experience is essential

• Genie experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

• Strong Customer Service Skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail

• Confident in the use of technology

• Show initiative and work productively within a team environment

• Ability to multi-task and prioritise duties

• Ability to work alone and as part of a close team

• Exceptional time management skills

• Establish and maintain a great rapport with patients and colleagues

ACT Neurology Centre & Canberra Specialists is open Monday - Friday

Permanent Part Time (4 days per week) or Full-time position available
