Night Shift Loader – Steel Distribution

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and reliable Night Shift Loader to join our Structural Steel team based in Direk, South Australia. Responsibilities:

• Operating a variety of forklifts, including multi directional units
• Load delivery vehicles in a timely, safe and efficient manner, including manual handling
• Verify the accuracy of shipments against packing lists and dispatch dockets
• Ensure the proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage.
• Maintain an organised work area and adhere to safety protocols during loading operations
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth operations
• Inspect all loaded items for quality assurance before departure
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor immediately
• Pick goods for order fulfilment
• General warehouse duties as requested at times

Requirements:

• A strong understanding of OHS and warehouse safety requirements
• Previous experience in the steel or manufacturing industry (highly desirable)
• Current Forklift Licence (LF) (necessary)
• Gantry Crane Licence (CB) (highly desirable)
• Experience using scanners and inventory systems
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• Good communication skills – verbal and written
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• A positive attitude, with a proactive and safety-first mindset
