Are you an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys variety, values strong client relationships and takes pride in keeping accounts accurate and organised?

Evolv Accountants is looking for a capable and dependable Bookkeeper / Transactional Accountant to join our team. You’ll manage the day-to-day accounting needs of a diverse portfolio of clients while working closely with our accountants and clients.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing bookkeeping and transactional accounting for multiple clients
• Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Preparing and lodging BAS
• Processing payroll, superannuation and related obligations
• Maintaining accurate general ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations
• Completing month-end processing and reporting
• Preparing management reports and useful financial information
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in client accounts
• Using platforms such as Xero, MYOB, Dext and Hubdoc
• Communicating directly with clients to answer queries and obtain information
• Supporting our accountants with clean, accurate and up-to-date client files

About you

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have solid bookkeeping or transactional accounting experience
• Can confidently manage multiple clients and competing deadlines
• Are highly proficient in Xero and MYOB
• Have experience with Dext and Hubdoc
• Can prepare BAS and have a good understanding of GST
• Are experienced in payroll and familiar with payroll compliance
• Can prepare clear and meaningful management reports
• Are organised, efficient and accurate
• Communicate confidently with clients and colleagues
• Take ownership of your work and solve problems proactively
• Work well independently and as part of a team

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
