WAVES is a long-standing, independently owned veterinary referral hospital with a reputation for clinical excellence and exceptional patient care. We are proud to remain independently owned, allowing us to focus on our patients, our clients and, most importantly, our people. We are committed to investing in our team, helping every staff member build both their professional expertise and personal confidence in a supportive and collaborative environment.
We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Dentistry team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a close-knit, supportive team working in a dynamic referral hospital.
You will work closely with our Dentistry team, assisting in a wide variety of advanced procedures, including jaw fracture repairs, root canal therapy and extensive extractions.
You'll be part of a small, dedicated team where reliability, initiative and teamwork are highly valued. Previous dentistry experience is an advantage, but it isn't essential, we'll provide comprehensive training and ongoing support for the right person.
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
Minimum two years' experience in veterinary nursing (exceptional applicants with less experience are encouraged to apply)
Current registration with the Veterinary Surgeons' Board of Western Australia
Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team
A reliable, efficient work ethic with strong attention to detail
A positive attitude, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to learn and grow
A stable 5-day fortnight with no weekends or public holidays
Above-award salary, commensurate with experience
A varied and rewarding role with equal rotation across all areas of the service
A supportive, friendly team where collaboration, laughter and work-life balance are valued
Ongoing paid continuing veterinary education (CVE), mentoring and opportunities to pursue additional qualifications and courses that interest you
Hands-on training in advanced dentistry and anaesthesia to help you develop advanced skills
Clear clinical development pathway
A workplace committed to helping you build not only your professional capabilities but also your confidence, leadership and personal growth
At WAVES, we believe great patient care starts with a great team. We foster an environment where people are encouraged to learn, challenge themselves, support one another and genuinely enjoy coming to work every day.
