Resource Recovery and Recycle Market Operator – Casual

Would you like to work in the not-for-profit sector?  Ability Enterprises currently has multiple positions available for a casual Resource Recovery and Recycle Market Operator in the Toowoomba region.

Your role will include:

• Ensuring resource recovery is maximised across the facility

• Stock collection and recovery of saleable items for the tip shops. (We love to reuse and recycle)

• Liaising with customers at the facilities when required

• Assessing suitability and safe disposal of items being recovered

• Monitoring levels of waste streams and taking appropriate action

• Keeping recovery sheds tidy

• Operation of machinery as required

This is a job where no two days are the same, with the successful applicant playing a hands-on role in protecting our environment by assisting to manage waste efficiently.  Previous experience in waste, recycling, resource recovery, manufacturing or similar operational environments will be highly regarded.

The position is casual with Monday to Friday hours, and weekend work on a rotational basis with other team members.

Current Australian Manual Drivers Licence

Basic computer skills

Forklift Licence and First Aid (or willingness to obtain) will be an advantage
