The Hire Ground is a hospitality recruitment specialist working with some of Australia's most respected venues and operators. We're currently partnering with a privately owned, award winning coastal Victorian hotel to find their next General Manager.

General Manager – Iconic Coastal Victorian Hotel

Held by the same family for three generations, this landmark property has recently undergone a major redevelopment and continues to be recognised as one of the state's leading hospitality destinations. The business is now seeking an experienced General Manager to lead it into its next chapter. This opportunity has only come about due to the current General Manager moving interstate after a long tenure.

This role offers full P&L accountability across accommodation and seven food and beverage venues, with genuine autonomy and close day to day partnership with ownership.

The Role

As General Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Full operational and commercial leadership across rooms and all F&B outlets

• Driving revenue, profitability, and performance across a multi venue business

• Leading the business through its next phase of growth following a significant recent investment

• Working alongside an established, experienced on site management team

• Day to day partnership with ownership on strategic and commercial decisions

• Championing a values led culture centred on family, honesty, community, and wellbeing

About You

You will likely come from a boutique or luxury hospitality background and bring:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior multi site hospitality leader

• Strong multi venue food and beverage leadership background

• Genuine commercial acumen with a track record of driving performance

• Comfort operating within a privately owned business with close ownership involvement

• A values led, hands on leadership style

• Openness to relocating to coastal Victoria

This role would also suit candidates without direct hotel experience who bring strong multi-site or group operations leadership across high volume trade.
