About the role
WE WANT YOU! We are looking for a Project Coordinator.
We are on the hunt for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our high performing team who thrives on running projects from start to completion. Are you hands on, delivery focused and keen to take the reins of the delivery of fit-out projects?
You will work closely with our established team to support and grow the business and its efficiency. The role is primarily office-based but will also require site visits and involvement in site-based project delivery as required.
About the Role
Sitting right at the heart of our operations team in Morningside, this full-time role is a fast paced, high-energy role where no two days are the same. You will be working closely with field staff, clients, suppliers and management and have a strong team to back you.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the installation process and be able to generate and maintain effective daily and weekly schedules, post schedules, resolve logistical problems and identify opportunities to improve processes.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Site Coordination
Coordinate multiple joinery installations across Brisbane from planning to handover.
Lead, mentor, support, and build strong relationships with our installation and project teams.
Conduct site visits to assist with supervision, quality checks, and defect management.
Project Planning
Plan weekly schedules that align installation dates with manufacturing timelines.
Keep job progress, schedules, variations, and project documentation up to date.
Review plans with Design and Assembly teams and coordinate material ordering.
Procurement Management
Review contracts alongside the Kitchen Designers, and Assembly team to ensure jobs are installation ready.
Coordinate the ordering of materials and manage supplier requirements.
Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new installers as our team expands.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure works comply with specs, Australian Standards, and WHS requirements.
Monitor installer performance and maintain DDK’s high standard of finish.
Identify improvement and innovation opportunities for streamlining the project controls work process.
Stakeholder Communication & Problem Solving
Be the friendly main point of contact for clients through the manufacturing and installation phases.
Liaise between clients, suppliers, and field crews to keep everyone aligned.
Problem solve schedule disruptions and provide options for consideration by customers/installation team.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience within cabinet making, construction or trade-based industries highly regarded but not essential.
Background as an Installation Coordinator, Scheduler, or Project Coordinator managing field teams.
Experience in Salesforce (CRM) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, OneNote).
Clear, confident communicator who can easily build rapport with clients, trades, and internal teams.
Organised, self-motivated, and calm under pressure.
Practical and proactive, with a professional approach across both office and site settings.
