About the role
As a Principal in Barrenjoey’s Corporate Finance division, you will play an integral in the execution of our key mandates and other client work. We work with clients across a variety of financial products, including public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and financial advisory.
In your role as a Principal, you will be involved in all steps of the transaction focus with a key focus on the preparation of presentations, valuation work and technical analysis while coordinating transactions, with support along the way. You will be working in the financial sponsors team, based in Sydney, and covering private equity and other clients in connection with a broad range of industry verticals.

About You3-5 years of prior experience in investment banking, or a related fieldExperience with private equity, infrastructure funds and/ or industrials coverage preferred but not requiredStrong technical, valuation, modelling, accounting, quantitative and written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of an M&A buyside and sell side transaction lifecycle and the steps involved in the process as well a strong understanding of debt and equity capital markets processesExecution focused with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with other internal team members, client and other key stakeholders in the transaction lifecycleSelf-starter with a curious mindset, strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently when requiredBachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics or related field
