Royal Davui Island Resort is searching for an experienced Resort Management Couple to lead the day-to-day operation of our established luxury private island resort in Fiji.

With 16 villas, a private airline for resort transfers and approximately 60 employees, Royal Davui is deliberately small, highly personalised and requires hands-on, day-to-day operational leadership.

We are looking for two accomplished hospitality professionals who want genuine responsibility for an entire resort, its people, guests, standards, commercial performance and day-to-day operation.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership appointment working directly with ownership.

The Opportunity

Together, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the island across:

• Guest experience and luxury service delivery

• Leadership, development and performance of approximately 60 employees

• Rooms, Front Office and Housekeeping

• Food & Beverage

• Financial performance, budgeting and cost control

• Revenue and commercial performance

• Maintenance and asset management oversight

• Purchasing, stores, stock control and island logistics

• Marine activities and operational planning

• Health, safety and compliance

• Maintaining and continually improving resort standards

• You will have experienced assistant/duty managers and supervisors supporting you, but ultimately the island is yours to run.

The Couple We're Looking For

The strongest candidates will bring complementary skills to the operation.

One partner may have extensive experience in resort management, rooms, F&B or guest experience, while the other may bring strengths across operations, maintenance, facilities, logistics, marine operations or another relevant hospitality discipline.

Between you, we expect substantial experience across most areas of a full-service resort operation.

At least one partner should have held a senior resort/hotel leadership position with significant responsibility for the overall operation of a property.

Both partners must bring genuine professional value to the management team.

• Significant management experience within quality hotels or resorts

• Proven responsibility for people, standards and operational performance

• Strong understanding of Rooms and Food & Beverage operations

• Experience managing and developing substantial teams

• Sound financial and commercial capability

• High standards of guest service and personal presentation

• The confidence to make decisions and take responsibility for them

• A genuinely hands-on management style

• Strong organisational and problem-solving ability

Experience in a luxury resort, boutique hotel, private island, remote lodge or international resort environment will be highly regarded.

Previous experience living and working in a remote location is valuable, but not essential.

This Role Will Suit You If...

You enjoy knowing your guests, knowing your staff and knowing exactly what is happening throughout your operation.

You are equally comfortable hosting guests over dinner, reviewing the month's P&L, inspecting a villa, coaching a department head or dealing with an operational problem that cannot wait until tomorrow.

You don't need a large corporate structure around you to make decisions.

You understand the difference between being visible and actually being hands-on.

And you're excited by the prospect of living together on a small island and making the resort genuinely yours to operate.

The Package

The combined remuneration package includes:
