About the role
We are seeking Registered Psychologists and/or Clinical Psychologists to join our growing practice in Sydney NSW 2000 on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mental health professional to deliver psychological services in a collaborative and client-centred environment. You will work with diverse clients presenting with a range of mental health concerns, providing evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to build a fulfilling caseload alongside other allied health and general practitioners in an established practice in the heart of the CBD.
What you'll be doing
Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic interviews with clients
Developing individualised treatment plans based on evidence-based practice and client needs
Delivering psychological interventions including cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and other therapeutic modalities such as EMDR (preferred but not required).
Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical records and documentation in compliance with professional standards
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and service providers to support holistic client care
Providing psychological reports for clinical purposes, referrals and assessments
Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment approaches as required
Maintaining professional development and staying current with evidence-based practice guidelines
Supporting clients through crisis situations and implementing appropriate safety protocols (within working hours)
What we're looking for
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Psychologist (General or Clinical)
Demonstrated experience delivering evidence-based psychological therapy and assessments
Strong knowledge of diagnostic frameworks including the DSM-5-TR and ICD-11
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build therapeutic rapport
Experience working with diverse client populations and presenting concerns
Sound clinical judgment and the ability to manage complex cases independently
Commitment to ethical practice and professional accountability as per AHPRA Code of Conduct
Current professional indemnity insurance or willingness to obtain it
Accreditation with SIRA for supporting clients with active Workers Compensation and/or Compulsory Third Party Claims (or willing to obtain if successful)
Ability to work with adults, children, Workers Compensation/CTP, NDIS, and DVA clients
