Kitchen Hand / Prep Hand

About the role

Working alongside our chefs and kitchen team, you’ll play an important part in keeping the kitchen running smoothly throughout service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• General kitchen hand and dishwashing duties
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment
• Assisting with basic food preparation and prep tasks
• Supporting section chefs during preparation and service where required
• Following food safety, hygiene and WH&S procedures
• Assisting with cleaning, organisation and closing duties

About you

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is an advantage, but it’s not essential. We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude who is willing to learn and become part of the team.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Works well in a fast-paced team environment
• Takes pride in keeping their workspace clean and organised
• Can follow instructions, processes and procedures
• Is willing to learn and develop their skills
• Understands the importance of food safety and workplace hygiene
• Is available across a combination of weekdays, weeknights and weekends
• Has reliable transport to and from Cleveland Point
