Account Manager-Plumbing Merchants

Stormtech are the category leader in the design and manufacture of high-end architectural drainage products and are proudly Australian made and owned! We are seeking a highly motivated sales professional to service a customer base in Melbourne's North. Our customer base includes plumbing merchants such as Reece, Tradelink, Plumbing Plus members and independents. 

The Role:

• Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will present and support our products to existing and potential customers.

• Build and maintain effective, trusting and productive relationships with existing and potential customers.

• Demonstrate our product range and solutions by providing effective product training to merchant resellers, builders and plumbers. You will be seen as a technical consultant providing product information and answering technical enquiries about our drainage range.

• Work closely with merchant showroom staff and trade sales teams to build sales growth

• Read customer provided plans, drawings and information to ensure the right product solution and advise is given.

• Provide technical assistance to builders and plumbers helping them with product specifications and solutions

• Perform site measures on building sites to enable accurate quotes

• Cold calling on building project sites to identify sales opportunities

• Liase with builders, trades, resellers, end users and internal customer service teams

• Provide monthly sales report to capture sales activity, project status and wins, follow up and performance v Budget

Who you are:

You are a self-motivated individual with a minimum of 3 years sales experience selling into Plumbing and Building Merchants. You can demonstrate past sales success and you can outline how you achieved those results! You are comfortable working in a product led sales role and you can deliver effective product training sessions to your customer’s sales teams. 

You have possibly sold drainage, roofing or irrigation products previously and OR have a trade background.
