About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to begin your engineering career while completing your Civil Engineering degree. Working alongside experienced Project Managers and Engineers, you will contribute to the planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction projects across the Mackay region. You'll gain practical, hands-on experience, apply your university knowledge to real projects and develop the skills required to transition into a full-time Graduate Civil Engineer role upon graduation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Engineers with the planning and delivery of civil construction projects.

• Support project planning, scheduling and coordination activities.

• Assisting quantity take-offs, cost estimates and project reporting.

• Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

• Supporting quality assurance, inspections and project compliance.

• Assisting with procurement, subcontractor coordination and project administration.

• Attending site meetings, pre-starts and project inspections.

• Working closely with supervisors, subcontractors, clients and project stakeholders.

• Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants and clients.

• Gaining exposure to projects from the planning stage through to completion.

• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across project delivery.

• Promote and maintain a strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards.
