About the role
The Role
Land Capability Division is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Officer to be a part of the Business Management team. Land Capability Division is a high-tempo environment, and plays a central role in Army’s mission.
The Business Intelligence Officer will be a part of a high-performing team in linking resources to capability outcomes that are strategically aligned to Government priorities. You will contribute to capability planning, strategic initiatives and business improvement activities, ensuring decision-makers have access to accurate, timely and reliable information. You will provide advice and recommendations supporting resource allocation, governance and the achievement of organisational objectives.
You will be the Business Manager for the G4-Logistics Branch, however you may be required to support other Branches within Land Capability Division as required.
The role requires sound judgement, initiative and strong stakeholder engagement skills to solve complex problems, improve business processes and deliver resource outcomes supporting Defence's mission and objectives.
About our Team
The Business Management team forms part of the Land Business and Commercial Management Directorate within the Land Capability Management Branch. The Land Capability Management Branch brings together a range of central functions supporting Head Land Capability and the branches and programs within Land Capability Division. The Branch provides specialist expertise and domain-level coordination to projects and programs, and coordinates support to Army senior leadership. Business Management personnel perform a range of roles within the central team and within Directorates.
Land Capability Division is the core of Army’s Land Capability System, and is responsible for delivering and integrating the fundamental inputs to capability that generate and sustain Australian military capability in the Land Domain. It operates in accordance with the One Defence Capability System and includes the activities conducted by Army that modernise and sustain the Army and build its future capacity.

You will analyse complex data, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide clear advice to support decision-making.
The successful candidate will build strong stakeholder relationships, influence outcomes and provide trusted resource management advice. The ideal applicant will be passionate about military capability and will have the interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills to work with military members. You will demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and accountability, managing competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes.

Security Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 1”.
