Skin Cancer & Infusion Nurse (RN)

Molescope Skin Cancer Clinic & Mooroolbark Specialist Centre are keen to find a Registered Nurse to join our Team.  The role will primarily be working as a Skin Cancer Nurse at Molescope Skin Cancer Clinic but also involve doing some Zoledronic Acid infusions with our Endocrinologists at our sister clinic, Mooroolbark Specialist Centre. 

About Us

Molescope Skin Cancer Clinic & Mooroolbark Specialist Centre have been serving the Mooroolbark and broader community since 2011, initially at one site but splitting into 2 locations in Mooroolbark in September 2023.

Molescope Skin Cancer Clinic is dedicated to providing exceptional Skin Cancer care to the community. All the Doctors are GP's with extensive experience in Skin Cancer Medicine and appropriate qualifications.

Mooroolbark Specialist Centre provides Endocrine care to the Yarra Valley and beyond including Telehealth to patients around Australia. There are 6 Endocrinologists and a Diabetes Nurse Educator currently at the clinic with further expansion planned in 2027.

Key Duties

• Patient total body photography is the main job in this role

• Assisting Skin Cancer Doctors with procedures

• Removal of sutures

• Wound reviews

• Liaising with patients pre and post procedure

• Instrument cleaning & sterilisation

• Patient education for how to use treatments for pre-cancerous lesions (education will be provided)

• Zoledronic Acid infusions (including cannulation and infusion management)

Skills and Experience

• Registered Nurse with at least 2 years experience

• Current full AHPRA Registration

• Experience in surgical nursing preferred but not essential

• Confident with Cannulation and infusion management

• Confidence in photography using a phone strongly desired but training can be provided

• Outstanding communication

• Be able to interact with patients, visitors & staff in a friendly, professional and confident manner

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team

• Excellent organisational skills

Job Specifics: 

• Casual role at award rates (including 12% Super)

• Ability to work Monday to Friday preferred

• Ability to work full days (8:30am - 5pm) preferred but some shifts may be half days

• Hours will vary depending on Doctor schedules and clinical needs

• No evening, weekend or Public Holiday work

• Clinic closed between Christmas and New Year
