Step into a pivotal estimating role where your work directly shapes how complex civil projects are won, planned and delivered across Queensland.

We’re partnering with a fast-growing civil contractor to find an ambitious Estimator who wants more than another pricing role. This is a chance to join a high-performing pre-contracts team, work on varied and challenging tenders across Queensland, and play a visible part in the next stage of a business that is gaining serious traction.

What Sets This Role Apart

Sit close to the decisions that shape work-winning strategy, project methodology and handover quality, giving you genuine influence before projects reach site. You’ll build practical first-principles estimates and tender strategies for complex civil and structural works, learn from commercially sharp leaders with hands-on project experience, and own meaningful parts of the tender process from procurement through to methodology, programming and delivery handover.

What You’ll Do

You’ll sit at the front end of the project lifecycle, turning complex scopes into accurate estimates, practical delivery strategies and clear tender submissions that give delivery teams the best possible start.

• Develop accurate civil estimates for a wide range of Civil and Structural projects from first principles 
• Procurement management
• Create construction methodologies, programs and non-pricing tender submission documents
• Champion pre-contract phase of project cycle 
• Monitor project costs and support project teams throughout delivery

About You

• Tertiary or Trade Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying and/or Project/Construction Management
• Multi-disciplinary experience in the construction industry (Urban, Mining, DTMR, Slope Stabilisation, etc)
• 6+ years’ experience in the Civil Construction industry and field experience (desirable)
• Previous experience working as a civil estimator in a mid-tier contractor throughout NSW, QLD and NT (favourable)
• Proficiency in Project planning and MS Project program
