Supervisor (Bar/Floor)

About the role

As a Supervisor at Loop Roof you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of this thriving hospitality establishment in the heart of Melbourne's vibrant CBD. Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all front-of-house activities, ensuring exceptional customer service and an exceptional experience for our guests.

This is a casual role to begin with then will move to a permanent role depending on performance during your trial period, with weekly hours ranging from 25 to 30 hours over 4 shifts (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & some Sundays).

What you'll be doing

• Supervise the daily operations of the bar, floor and other front-of-house areas, ensuring all customer needs are met with efficiency and professionalism

• Oversee and support the work of the front-of-house team, including hosts, servers, bartenders and other customer service staff

• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues swiftly and diplomatically

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations

• Assist with staff training and development to maintain high standards of service

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination between front and back-of-house

• Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and initiatives to enhance the customer experience

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar Supervisor role within the hospitality industry

• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

• Proficient in using POS systems and other hospitality-specific software

• Knowledge of relevant health, safety and licensing regulations

• A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience
